Getting in to/returning to the gym

TOP ✋TIPS BEFORE GOING TO THE GYM 💪👇

1. Devise, buy or find a workout programme to follow- consistently following and tracking your workouts will help you grow!

2. Research ‘form tips’ for exercises you’re unsure of as this will equal more efficient movement patterns and better growth.

3. Sort out your diet!
Start with having ~4 servings of high quality protein throughout the day, 5 portions of varied fruit and veg and plenty of carbohydrates to fuel your training, fats to optimise hormonal function and water to hydrate your body!

4. Prepare your workout equipment! !Buy new clothes or ensure you have clothes you feel comfortable in, ready your workout bag and leave it all by the door so you’re all set!

5. Be kind to your body!
Ease your body in to your training again by improving flexibility and make sure you warm up before you exercise. A very good warmup will be ‘needed’ before your first session (back)!
Lastly, ensure you are conservative with your weight choices as you may be more susceptible to injury if you haven’t trained for a while!
